Unwrapped ’20
Unwrapped’20 Shining a Light Festival is happening
Despite the limits on public events Unwrapped, the annual Winter Festival of community, will continue this year with Shining a Light, based on the story of the Winter Queen.
An ancient shadow, Cailleach Queen of Winter, emerges from the hills with her gift of light. Our South Dublin communities are preparing to welcome her with their creativity and kindness.
How will you welcome her? www.unwrapped.ie
This celebration of rebirth and renewal uses the symbolism of light to reveal what is special and unique about the places and communities across South Dublin.
With a new online digital platform the Unwrapped ‘20 festival will feature films, spoken word, songs and animation created by schools and community groupsacross South Dublin.
Hundreds of people are already creating their own window art that will be displayed in public buildings and homes. To get in the celebratory mood check out this lovely tutorial on how to create beautiful and colourful window art displays for your own home.
